Firefighters know that dirty gear is dangerous. As more particles and chemicals accumulate on protective apparel, it gradually loses its effectiveness—putting firefighters and anyone they contact at risk. Dirty gear reflects less radiant heat, becomes flammable, and can even conduct electricity.

Continental Girbau’s Express Dry Gear Dryers, equipped with touchscreen controls, safely and efficiently dry up to 8 sets of turnout gear and accessories using ambient air. Express Dry units align with gear manufacturer drying requirements and comply with NFPA 1851 recommendations for proper drying procedures.

Target Hard-to-Dry Areas

The patented design uses powerful fans that push air through gear from the inside out—effectively drying hard-to-reach areas and vapor barriers that are prone to mold and mildew when not dried properly. The PPE drying system minimizes air loss and prevents airflow from following the path of least resistance, resulting in faster, more efficient drying and the ability to dry more suits in the same amount of time.

ExpressDry XD Gear Dryers come fully equipped with up to 8 helmet dryers and up to 24 component ports for drying helmets, gloves, boots, face masks, SCBAs and more. The system is designed to keep firefighters dry, protected, and comfortable.

Touchscreen Control for Ambient Air Drying

A touchscreen control provides immediate visual access to drying status, remaining dry time, and customizable settings for time and temperature. Users can select preset drying times, a continuous drying option, or a custom timer for their department’s unique needs.

The interface features clear icons, a countdown timer, and durable construction with a smooth, easy-to-clean flat screen.

*Inspect before you Sign:

Please forward this information to the proper department so they know what to do when the shipment arrives.

Because of the size of the unit, damage may occur inside the packaging due to improper handling by the carrier. Be aware that damage may be present even if the packaging appears intact.

Inspect all items and all sides of the shipment before signing the delivery tablet/receipt. Packaging should be fully opened to view all sides of the product. You have 30 minutes to inspect before extra charges are added, as the driver cannot be detained indefinitely.

If the driver refuses full inspection, do not sign the delivery tablet/receipt. Ask to speak with the local freight terminal manager and request that the shipment be marked as damaged due to inspection not being allowed, or refuse the shipment entirely.

• If contents are in good condition, sign and date the delivery tablet/receipt.

• If contents or packaging are damaged, write “DAMAGED” on the receipt with detailed notes of the damage, then sign and date.

Accept undamaged shipments when possible and only refuse damaged packages. The driver should provide you with a copy of the delivery receipt.

Please contact us for assistance before the driver leaves. If the shipment is damaged and the delivery receipt is signed clear—with no notes of damage—any rights to full payment on the freight claim may be void.

The factory will not and cannot pay for freight company damages.
